The transportation and logistics industry will be affected by possible industrial action on Thursday 14 December 2023.

The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions SAK and its member unions have announced that they will carry out several industrial strikes on Thursday 14 December 2023. The strikes have significant effects on Finland's foreign trade and cargo transportation.

The Finnish Transport Workers' Union AKT has announced that it is participating in SAK's industrial action.

There will be no work shifts in the truck industry on Thursday 14 December 2023 between 00:00 and 24:00.

The work stoppage in the terminal operations sector starts on Thursday 14 December 2023 at 06:00 and ends on Friday 15 December 2023 at 06:00.

The stevedores of the ports are also involved in the possible strike. This means that the ships arriving at the ports on Thursday morning will not be unloaded or loaded, which will naturally cause delays to the transport schedules for several days.
