The contract of the (International Longshoreman Association) ILA expired on Monday, September 30, and no new negotiations were reached.

The ongoing port workers' strikes are expected to severely disrupt supply chains, leading to substantial delays for goods passing through these crucial trade hubs. As a result of the ILA strike, many shipping companies have introduced freight surcharges.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide more information on the subject in the light of new information.

The International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) is North America's largest maritime workers' union, representing more than 85,000 longshoremen at more than 100 ports on the US East Coast and Gulf of Mexico.
