Regarding road freight, it is good to know that in June there are public holidays in several European countries, which shorten the working week and cause delays in transport. In many countries, heavy traffic driving restrictions are also in place during the holidays and local holiday season.
On the shipping lines of Sweden and Estonia, the summer vacations are seen as an increase in passenger traffic. Especially on both sides of Midsummer, passenger traffic limits cargo capacity on ships.
In sea freight the closing times are earlier due to Friday's (21.6) public holiday, so the sooner you contact us, the sooner we can get the cargo moving before Midsummer's Eve.
Midsummer does not have a very big effect on air freight, but if there are urgent shipments this week, it's worth being on time.
