Leena Paavolainen, the Finnish Olympic Committee’s Deputy Director of High Performance Unit and Director of Games Operations, has sent the photo below of the container, which has just arrived in the Olympic Village in Rio. In the photo, she is smiling together with Edson Ferreira, representative of CHS Expo Freight’s local partner.
The Finnish Olympic Team’s freight travelled to Rio for quite some time. Months of background work was carried out in the spring to get the goods on the way, for Brazil is a challenging destination with regard to customs formalities. Thanks to the in-depth pre-work the customs process was fast and fluent.
