Founded in 1979, Doppelmayr Finn Oy represents the services of the world’s leading ropeway and lift system supplier in Finland. The company provides ski resorts with new lift solutions, modernization projects, spare parts, and technical expert services.
Doppelmayrin technology is used worldwide in both ski resorts and urban transportation systems. In Finland, the company serves virtually all ski resorts, from Lapland to Southern Finland.
A Seasonal Industry Requires Fast and Reliable Deliveries
The ski resort business is highly dependent on seasonal demand.
“During the winter season, speed is the top priority. When lifts are operating every day, deliveries must arrive quickly. After the season, we receive larger shipments from Austria in preparation for the next winter season,” says Riila.
As a result, logistics partners must provide both reliable deliveries and the flexibility to adapt to changing transportation needs throughout the year.
Logistics Partnership Began in Spring 2025
Doppelmayr Finn Oy selected Finnish Scanlink, part of the CHS Group, as its road freight partner in spring 2025.
The shipments mainly consist of goods transported from Austria to Finland. Deliveries are made both to Doppelmayr’s warehouse and directly to ski resorts across the country, including Ruka, Levi, Ylläs, Pyhä, Tahko, and Koli.

According to Riila, one of the key reasons for choosing Scanlink was its flexible and practical approach.
“We do not need to separately arrange receiving or dispatching goods at our warehouse. Scanlink independently handles all deliveries and pickups, which significantly simplifies our daily operations and frees up time for other tasks.”
