When the Paris Games ended, the televisions used in the competition village continued their journey back to Finland. Now the televisions have found a new home at the Urhea campus, where they will be put to good use in the everyday life of the athletes.
Televisions are placed in the Urhea home's accommodation rooms (10 rooms), in the Training Room connected to the physiotherapy facilities, in the gymnastics room and in the general training room. In addition, a few pieces of equipment are stored for future competitions and events.
The shipment was received by Urhea’s Coaching Manager Mika Saari:
“This is a great example of how responsible recycling and top-level sports can go hand in hand. Thank you to CHS for your excellent customer service.”
The Urhea campus is home to the top-level sports center, the Olympic Training Center Helsinki, and the Metropolitan Area Sports Academy Urhea. Urhea is a cooperation network that supports athletes' daily training, helps in building an athlete's dual career, and links expert activities to the athlete's and coach's everyday life.
