CHS Air & Sea Oy's climate targets received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative

The international Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) has approved CHS Air & Sea Oy's short-term climate targets. With the approval, CHS joins a global network of over 9,000 organizations committed to science-based climate work and responsible business.

CHS becomes part of the global SBTi network of responsible companies. Science-based targets support the Paris Climate Agreement.

CHS’s emission reduction goals support the Paris Agreement’s ambition to limit global warming to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels. The targets cover both the company’s own operations (Scope 1 and 2) and its value chain (Scope 3).

Responsibility as part of the CHS Eco program

CHS is committed to reducing its direct greenhouse gas emissions by 50 % by 2030, compared to 2023 levels, and to encouraging its suppliers to adopt science-based targets as well.

CHS Group CEO Juha Harjula: "The SBTi validation is an important recognition of CHS’s long-term commitment to responsible and sustainable business. It underscores the company’s dedication to concrete climate action as part of the CHS Eco -sustainability program."
