Agreement for the stevedoring industry, the strike ends

The strikes of the Finnish Transport Workers' Union AKT Stevedoring industry ended today, 1.3.2023. The outcome of the negotiations has been accepted and the strikes have been cancelled. Earlier on Tuesday, 28.2.2023, AKT also approved settlement proposals for the trucking industry, the tanker and oil products industry and the terminal sector.

The resulting agreement ends all industrial action immediately. The employees will return to work as soon as possible, but no later than the normal work shift starting on March 4, 2023, AKT says in its announcement.

Due to the strikes, transportation from / to Finland has been congested, so there will be shipping delays for some time.
